Dear Good Hope families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We hope this letter finds you well and that you had a restful and enjoyable summer vacation! As we embark on another exciting year of learning and growth, we are delighted to welcome back our returning students, families and staff, and extend a warm welcome to those who are new to our school community.

At Good Hope Elementary School, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated team of educators has been working hard over the summer to prepare engaging lessons and activities that will inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning.

This year, we are excited to introduce several new initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational experience for all of our students:

Dual Language Immersion (DLI): we are thrilled to bring DLI to Good Hope! We will begin with 2 TK and 2 kindergarten classes for the 2024-2025 school year.

Enhanced STEAM Curriculum: We have expanded our Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math programs to include more hands-on learning activities and real-world applications.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Our SEL program is expanding! This school year, students will be equipped with more opportunities, tools and strategies to manage their emotions, build healthy relationships and make responsible decisions.

Community Partnerships: We have established new partnerships with local organizations, such as the City of Perris and CALFRESH, to provide additional resources and support for our students and families.

Mariachi: We will be starting a Mariachi program at Good Hope that will be available to students in grades two through six! Please stay tuned for more information!

ELEVO: We are excited to partner with ELEVO to enhance our after school, summer camp, and intersession programs. ELEVO offers a variety of engaging and enriching activities designed to support the growth and development of our students. Its programs emphasize hands-on learning, creativity and critical thinking, in line with our commitment to providing high quality educational experiences.

Communication between home and school is vital to student success. Please stay informed by regularly checking Apptegy (our district communication platform), visiting our school website, reading our weekly newsletters, and attending school events. We strongly encourage you to join our parent groups (ELAC and AAPAC) and attend our monthly School Site Council (SSC) meetings to stay informed and involved!
